Here’s Risky Slugger chapter 1. I think doing comics digitally works a lot better for me than traditionally. I’ll be adding to this story in chunks for future shows.
But I won’t be getting to it for a bit since I’m working on Hugging Club right now.
Not dead! I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I posted anything here. Been pretty busy working on a short comic for SPX this coming weekend. Here’s a page of it!
I’ve got to finish the cover tomorrow and this thing is finally ready to print.
It’s 24 Hour Comics Day! Here’s a story about-a me, a-Wiggly!
This is my third time trying it. I never do it to be successful at completing 24 pages in 24 hours. Nooo, I am NO way near fast enough to accomplish that.
I like participating because it’s a fun trial, and a fantastic opportunity to bang out a small, contained story. Rather than the meticulously planned baby that many comic artists have in their noggins.
I like to try improving my speed, in writing, storyboarding and drawing/inking/text, etc. And get some of the smaller silly story ideas out onto paper. Or not paper. This was my first time attempting a fully digital comic! Every other year I’ve tried this I wasn’t properly practiced in drawing on anything other than paper.
So I’ll be working on my 24 Hour comic from today through the end of October. Here’s a panel from one of the pages I finished today.
Kudos to all my comic bros who also participated and blow my production skills out of the water. You’re all baddest asses.
